DAY 1: WELCOME TO PERU (I arrive in Peru)

A Cultural Peru representative will await the arrival of your international flight to welcome you and accompany you to the hotel to assist you with all check-in procedures..

DAY 2: LIMA CITY TOUR (City of the Kings).

This morning, we will invite you to a private tour of Lima, 'The City of Kings', where you will enjoy seeing the best of colonial and modern Lima. We will take you to Plaza San Martin, where you will walk through the crowded and fascinating Jirón de la Unión, pedestrian, calle Union, leading to the Plaza de Armas, the main square. This street was built in 1535 and still retains its old charm with a number of shops and restaurants in a mix of old and new buildings. Then we will arrive at the Plaza de Armas, a beautiful square surrounded by palaces. The colonial part of Lima is full of history and our expert guide will give you an introduction to the current capital of Peru.. After visiting the central part of Lima, we will head to a more authentic local area, like chorrillos, a district famous for its fishing activity where you will see the activity of local fishermen and explore the real local part of Lima. Then we will continue through Barranco, where we will have a short walk through this bohemian and old district of Lima, located on an impressive cliff Overlooking the Pacific Ocean. After your experience in Lima, you will return to your hotel and you can spend the rest of the day free.

DAY 3: FLIGHT FROM LIME - CUZCO - URUBAMBA (welcome to the Andes).

Transfer by private vehicle from the hotel to Lima airport for your flight. domestic to Cuzco.

Upon arrival in Cuzco, a representative from Cultural Peru will be waiting for you to transfer you to your hotel in the Sacred Valley of the Incas where we will pass through the beautiful Urubamba Valley., also known as the “Sacred Valley”, is an essential element of any tour of Peru. Arriving in Cusco, on the way from the airport to your hotel, will visit Pisac, one of the most important archaeological complexes in the Urubamba valley, with its extraordinary quality masonry, beautiful platforms and incredibly picturesque views. You will explore the ruins and then experience the sensations of the famous Pisac market, with its wide variety of handicrafts and fresh fruits and vegetables. You can also choose to include lunch at the local restaurant, The Pisac Inn, (on your own) before continuing to your hotel to rest.

DAY 4: VISIT OF OLLANTAYTAMBO AND MARAS MORAY - SALT MINES OF MARAS

In the morning your guide and your private transport will pick you up from your hotel to visit the fabulous town of Ollantaytambo and its archaeological sites.. It is a unique town that preserves its original Inca urban planning, where now the inhabitants live in the traditional enclosures known as courts, previously inhabited by the elite of the Incas. The archaeological complex is a sensational sight for the eyes and has a lot of historical significance. During the Spanish conquest, one of the great battles of the Conquest took place here and one of the few where the Incas defeated the Spanish. After this tour you will be transferred to Hacienda Huayoccari to enjoy a lunch of typical food..

In the afternoon you will visit the salt mines of Maras and the ruins of Moray before returning to your hotel.

After a delicious lunch we will go to visit Maras, the site where the remarkable and unusual Salineras are found, located in the heart of the Sacred Valley and not far from Urubamba. This site is made up of a large number of irrigated terraces that collect salt by evaporation of saline waters that flow from an underground stream.. Built in a manner similar to the agricultural terraces seen throughout the Andes, the salt mines have been used since pre-Columbian times. Visually, the brilliant salt-encrusted terraces are extraordinary. DAY 5: URUBAMBA - MACCHU PICCHU (Travel by train with the Hiram Bingham service to Machu Picchu).

DAY 6: VISIT OF MACHU PICCHU - CUZCO (Second day at Machu Picchu - Travel by train with the Vistadome service to Cusco).

This morning you will return to the citadel for a day full of activity..
There are a variety of excursions from which you can choose according to the duration and the level of physical effort required., like the walk to IntiPunku, "The door of the sun", a somewhat more arduous walk to reach Huayna Picchu, or maybe climb to the top of the Mountain Macchu Picchu, located south of the Citadel, whose height offers spectacular panoramic views.

After your tour, you will take the bus to go down to the town of Aguas Calientes where you will take the Vistadome train, approx. 1.5 hours, to Ollantaytambo, where a private vehicle will wait for the transfer of approx. 2 hours, to your hotel in Cusco.

DAY 7: CUZCO, VISIT OF THE MAIN TOURIST ATTRACTIONS

In the morning your guide will pick you up from your hotel to take you to the Plaza de Armas, you will walk from one attraction to another., this tour gives you the opportunity to see the juxtaposition between the solid masonry of the Incas and the finest Spanish colonial architecture. You will visit the main attractions such as the Cathedral and Koricancha, craft markets, beautiful art galleries, stores, little-known museums and churches. After the city walking tour, it will pass to Sacsayhuaman, the only Inca archaeological complex that has megalithic architecture.
